BDO (Bio Diesel Oil)

BDO (Bio Diesel Oil)

Anand Oil Company is specialized in supplying of high quality Biodiesel Oil. Biodiesel is a renewable, clean-burning diesel replacement free from sulphur and best fuel for the environment. Anand Biodiesel oils are made from a diverse mix of feed stocks including recycled cooking oil, soybean oil and animal fats. This non-petroleum based product can be used as diesel fuel, textile lubricant and industrial heating oil fuel. Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly and bio-degradable.

Meeting strict technical fuel quality and engine performance specifications, it can be used in existing diesel engines without modification and is covered by all major engine manufacturers’ warranties, most often in blends of up to 5 percent or 20 percent biodiesel.

Blends of Biodiesel Oil

The system of blending of Biodiesel is known as the "B" factor to state the amount of biodiesel in any fuel mix:

• 100% biodiesel is referred to as B100
• 20% biodiesel, 80% petrodiesel is labeled B20
• 5% biodiesel, 95% petrodiesel is labeled B5
• 2% biodiesel, 98% petrodiesel is labeled B2

Blends of 20% biodiesel and lower can be used in diesel equipment with no, or only minor modifications. Biodiesel can also be used in its pure form (B100), but may require certain engine modifications to avoid maintenance and performance problems.

Features of Biodiesel Oil

Biodiesel is a clean burning fuel
Biodiesel does not have any toxic emissions like mineral diesel
Biodiesel is made from any vegetable oil such as Soya, Rice bran, Canola, Palm, Coconut, mustard or peanut or from any animal fat like Lard or tallow.
Biodiesel is a complete substitute of Mineral High Speed Diesel Oil (HSD).
Biodiesel is made through a chemical process which converts oils and fats of natural origin into fatty acid methyl esters (FAME).
Biodiesel is intended to be used as a replacement for petroleum diesel fuel, or can be blended with petroleum diesel fuel in any proportion.
Biodiesel does not require modifications to a diesel engine to be used.
Biodiesel has reduced exhaust emissions compared to petroleum diesel fuel.
Biodiesel has lower toxicity compared to petroleum diesel fuel.
Biodiesel is safer to handle compared to petroleum diesel fuel.
Biodiesel quality is governed by ASTM D 6751 quality parameters.
 Biodiesel is biodegradable

BENEFITS OF BIODIESEL Oil

Biodiesel can be considered a new technology, taking into account all the years consumers have had to settle for traditional diesel:

1. Biodiesel is not harmful to the environment. A vehicle tends to pollute the environment and emits harmful gasses, if injected with HSD whereas if the engine is using biodiesel it emits no harmful gasses rather keeps the environment pollution free.

2. Biodiesel may not require an engine modification. Biodiesel can be blended with diesel so as to improve the efficiency of the engine without any hassles.

3. Biodiesel is cheap. You can even make biodiesel in your backyard. If your engine can work with biodiesel fuel alone, then you really need not go to the gas station to buy fuel. You can just manufacture some for your own personal use.

4. Any Vehicle using Biodiesel has very low idle stating noise. It is noted that biodiesel has a Cetane number of over 100. Cetane number is used to measure the quality of the fuel’s ignition. If your fuel has a high Cetane number, you can be sure that what you get is a very easy cold starting coupled with a low idle noise.

5. Biodiesel is cost effective because it is produced locally.

Biodiesel as a fuel not only helps reducing the pollution, reduces health hazards and gives our society A CLEANER AND GREENER TOMORROW.

Advantages of using Biodiesel Oil

1. Easy to use:
Biodiesel can be used in existing engines, vehicles and infrastructure with practically no changes. Biodiesel can be pumped, stored and burned just like petroleum diesel fuel, and can be used pure, or in blends with petroleum diesel fuel in any proportion. Power and fuel economy using biodiesel is practically identical to petroleum diesel fuel, and year round operation can be achieved by blending with diesel fuel.

2. Power & Performance:
The degree to which fuel provides proper lubrication is its lubricity. Low lubricity petroleum diesel fuel can cause premature failure of injection system components and decreased performance. Biodiesel provides excellent lubricity to the fuel injection system.

3. Emissions & Greenhouse Gas Reduction:
Biodiesel provides significantly reduced emissions of carbon monoxide, particulate matter, unburned hydrocarbons, and sulfates compared to petroleum diesel fuel. Additionally, biodiesel reduces emissions of carcinogenic compounds by as much as 85% compared with petrodiesel. When blended with petroleum diesel fuel, these emissions reductions are generally directly proportional to the amount of biodiesel in the blend.

Application of Biodiesel Oil

On-Road Vehicles:
All Vehicles having Diesel Engine can be powered by Biodiesel without any hassle.

Off-Road Vehicles:
Natural Biodiesel fuel can be used for construction, mining, and farm machinery.

Marine Vessels:
Natural Biodiesel can be used in marine engines safely. Marine use is especially attractive due to the elimination of any possibility for contamination of waterways.

Stationary Power Generation:
With new power generation capacity coming online, Natural biodiesel makes an attractive choice to meet the regulations. Many stationary applications are permitted sources requiring exhaust emission control system, which will work well with biodiesel but will not work with diesel fuel.

Boiler Fuel:
With natural gas prices rising high, biodiesel can be substituted easily for natural gas with minor changes necessary to the burner train.

Hybrid Vehicles:
With many states now mandating hybrid electric vehicles (including the fuel cell hybrid), biodiesel will make excellent reforming fuel.

Lubricity Agent/Additive:
Natural biodiesel can also be used as a lubricity agent/enhancer in many applications. It is especially useful in marine applications where water contamination with petroleum lubricity agents can create problems. With the low-sulfur fuel regulation of future, biodiesel can be used as a lubricity additive. A 1-2% biodiesel added to diesel fuel can increase diesel lubricity by 65%.

Fuel Additive:
Biodiesel can also be used as a diesel fuel additive for the purpose of keeping the injectors, pumps and other combustion components clean. A 1-2% blend should be sufficient for this purpose.
